Nagi Gebraeel is the Georgia Power Early Career Professor in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. He received his MS and PhD in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University in 1998 and 2003, respectively. Dr. Gebraeel's research interests lie at the intersection of Analytics, Machine Learning, and Asset Management. The primary component of his research focuses on developing next-generation machine learning tools specifically tailored for real-time industrial analytics with applications in anomaly detection, diagnostics and prognostics, and cybersecurity of industrial control systems.  The secondary component focus on developing optimization models that integrate analytic outputs/insights to enable more informed operational and logistical decision-making.  Dr. Gebraeel is the director of the Predictive Analytics and Intelligent Systems (PAIS) laboratory at Georgia Tech. He was the former president of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) Quality and Reliability Engineering Division, and is currently a member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).
